Toyin Aimakhu's Bio



Toyin Aimakhu is a popular Nollywood actress from Auchi, in Edo State, better known for her roles in Yoruba movies. She came into the Industry in 2003, when Bukky Wright came to Ibadan to shoot a movie.

Early life

She was born on September 5, 1984 at Auchi, a town in Edo State in southern Nigeria but spent her early life inIbadan, the capital of Oyo State in southwestern Nigeria.[3] She obtained a Higher National Diploma certificate in marketing from Ibadan polytechnic same class with Dibie, C.B.N aka x7 before she proceeded to Olabisi Onabanjo University, where she received a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in philosophy.

Career

She began acting in 2003, when Bukky Wright, a Nigerian film actress, visited Ibadan to shoot a movie.[5] Over the years, she has produced, directed and featured in several Nigerian films, such as Alani Baba Labake and Ebimi ni.[6] She was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in a Yoruba film titled Ebimi ni at the 2013 Best of Nollywood Awards alongside with Joke Muyiwa, who was nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Yoruba film titled Ayitale.[7] Based on her acting career, Toyin has also been called upon by politicians to campaign for them. At one of the programs for Nigeria President Goodluck Jonathan's re-election bid in 2015, the actress said she was prepared to die for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)[8] on whose platform Jonathan is contesting. But she later came out to apologize to her fans about the comments and urged Nigerians not to spill their blood for any politician.[9]

Actress Toyin Aimakhu is the youngest child in a family of five. The actress has a National Diploma in Marketing from Iree Polytechnic, she also studied Philosophy at the University of Ibadan.
Toyin Aimakhu was nominated for Best Lead Actress in a Yoruba film (Alani Baba Labake) and for Best Supporting Actress in a Yoruba film (Ebimi ni) at the 5th Best of Nollywood Awards in 2013.
On July 8, 2013, actress Toyin Aimakhu who was heavily pregnant had her white wedding with an actor Adeniyi Johnson at Oriental Hotel in Lagos.
There was no news sigh of pregnancy and no news about a baby, when actress Toyin Aimakhu Johnson and her hubby Adeniyi Johnson appeared at theUnforgivable premiere on October 27, 2013.

Toyin Aimakhu's Husband Confesses To Cheating


The Nollywood couple have been having marital issues for some time, with the wife bearing the brunt of the blame in the court of public opinion. However, she might just have been vindicated. 

Tinsel actor, Adeniyi Johnson has stated that his marriage to Toyin Aimakhu was truly on the rocks. He also admitted that he was the cause of the recent rift.
According to Adeniyi, Toyin caught him cheating and her reaction triggered the speculations on their break-up. Toyin on Monday had reverted to her maiden name on Instagram.
Adeniyi begged the public to stop accusing Toyin of any wrongdoing as he was the cause of the friction between them. He also expressed his remorse over the incident and asked his fans to help him plead with Toyin to forgive him which many have been doing.
