LIVERPOOL WAITING ON VAN DIJK SIGNAL
Liverpool are waiting in the wings to move for Virgil van Dijk if Southampton are willing to listen to offers for the want-away defender, the
Liverpool Echo reports.
The Reds were initially keen on landing Van Dijk but publicly ended their interest after reports Southampton were threatening action over an alleged illegal approach.
However, the Echo claims Liverpool are ready to cough up a club-record fee for the Netherlands international if the Saints make it clear they will negotiate a transfer.
ALEXIS' PSG MOVE SET TO COLLAPSE
The transfer of Alexis Sanchez to Paris Saint-Germain is hanging by a thread after financial wrangling interrupted talks, according to Le Parisien .
The Chilean had been widely tipped to complete a move from Arsenal after travelling to Paris to meet PSG sporting director Antero Henrique .
But despite early progress in contract talks, the deal is now unlikely to prosper due to both elevated demands from Alexis' agents and the reluctance of Arsenal to sell their star.
